Water pump wheal
As you can see from photos I spent ages getting as much rust off the water pump wheel as I can ready for panting.

Different fitting
As you can see the mounts are different, will have to mod the new one to same as the old fitting. How I don't no.
Ops radiator
Old and new radiator surround. Small problem with the new one. The bottom mount on the new one hasn't got the right fitting. Show in later photo.

Radiator
Taken out the radiator to give it a good clean and have to say it looks good, didn't gave it a good run out both ways.

Rocker lock
The rod that holds the tappers has one hole bigger than the others. This is for a lock screw to go in to stop the rod from rotating as the other holes in the rod move oil round the tappers to lubricate them.
Cleaned up, rock on…
Ok so iv cleaned the rocker up as much as I can, not spotless but the heavy grime is off, look good.

Carburettor
Ok so thort I'd look it over whale it was out, looks good if not a bit dirty. Needle looks in top shape all is good.
The head block.
Had a quick look at the head to day and gasket look like there where some gap between 3 & 4. Oil on the bottom of the head.

Top of the block
Oil and rusty water, cylinders look good no marks or stuff, lots of soot on the piston tops. Post more about the head tomorrow and the carburettor. Hoping to strip and clean a bit.
Rods in order
Ok to keep the push rods in the right order to put back where they came from. Seen this on the web good idea.
Off with is head
Ok so iv started getting the head off and is been fun (hard work started about 11:00am and worked for about 2-3. Never taken any off be for! Wish me luck. Post more later…
