Not forgotten…

Left but not forgotten. I find myself stuck with no money or time to work on my little lady on the side. 

I am tying my best to look after her stop the rot till I can do work that needs doing. 

Running problem fix I think

Been having problems with the mini engine again. I know it hasn't been on the road for a long time but I still like to keep her ticking over. Been having problems with her cutting out. I resantly not it's a squeak coming from the alternator and then the Battery isn't charging. She's making just over 12 volt when running. But she seams to be running smother now. Next thing to do is get new alternator and see if makes any difference. Also oil change and colour tune her again.

Batted speedo.

I have managed to get hold of a 3 clock speedo to replace the old 2 clock that is in was looking for a rev counter by itself but it not cheep, found this used on on eBay for cheep. The housing is a bit smashed in spots but going to use the housing from my speedo and go from there, as long as I haven't just got a Rev that don't work! Hope to hick it up soon and see if it works and if she will start. Others than that I'm afraid there has been no more work. Getting all the parts but no time. Will post pics later in next post of speedos.

Need more time.

Starting to think I will never get round to doing anything with my beloved mini with all the things that need doing. Seems she is starting to go same way as a lot of mini projects… so meany idears, plans put on hold due to time and money.

Same old story

Well it's been a bit sins my last post and I'm sorry to say that as my last post nothing/very little has been going on weth the mini as new house been sucking up all the £. Also the garage has been used as a drop off and pick up point for stuff around the house.

But hears hoping I get or find time to work on striping the mini back with the little man been a handful naw he's 8 moth old.

Not much going on (with mini)

Ok so not/nothing been going on with the Mini. Been a lot onling on sins becoming a dad. But she's is running fine and I did have here out on the drive for a bit. Also got more room in the garage naw got some stuff chucked out to make room just some more and there be room for me to make a workbench along th back wall. 

Mini on hold due to new little one

Well not a lot going on as not a lot of time. After having a lovely baby boy on the 27th December 2013, and moving home. Lot of work to get house into shape. But will try by best to get somthing started on the mini when get time, and stop looking at him lol

New home.

Got the Mini move into her new home. Just got to get to make some room to work in. Garage still full of stuff from the move. All in good time…

Little to nothing going on… :(

Moving house again, so all packed up again to move to a new home. Hope to get some work done before Mrs has our baby in December. Got new front and back window planed. Got vouchers to cover them. See haw it go's. 

One day…

Ok so looks like on hold for a bit longer. Just when you think all is going well. Not really liking new house, so back to it. Looks like well be moving again at some point in the hope, not to long and that will be it.

So much rubbish…!

Ok little bit of a rant…

Been house starting to look homely naw. Clean and clutter free. Keeps the Mrs happy. But was thinking where all this stuff went?! Then I looked in the garage and its all there… crap upon carp. Think I'm going to have to take a big gamer to some of it and make some room for Mini. So I can get her back on the road and stretch her legs again. Will get there in the end.

Moving in

Well she's getting there. Almost in the garage. Just got to get all the rubbish out the way so she can settle into then the real work starts.

On the move to new home

Well been a bit sins last post but been lot going on. Move to new house so lot to do and little time to do it. But as you can see Mini got out of the backyard and is now safe in her new home.

On the move agane…

Been a bit sins I posted sorry about that, lot going on or not as may be the case!

But we now have a gate for moving to new house. It's a dun deal. Just got to get the keys next mouth and move the Mini to her new home.

Find out Monday if got a transporter to move he. Will let you know more soon.

Been a bit slow on the updates and work on the Mini has all but stopped.
It's all for a good reason…

Just buying a house. Just in time for X-Mass. May speed up work on the mini when move in or if have no £ may just stay the same. Hope having inside work space will help.

May look into taking engine out and dropping subframes out and giving it a good clean. Also will let me see what's going on and if I can get on top of it all.

Time will tell, will try and keep you up to date on what's going on.

Just a quick look at what the spotlight are/may look like when fit. Not looking to bad.

Spotlight mounts in the bag

Ok, got some old spotlights that I was given from my father in-law, they just been sitting in there for about a year I think so been looking for some mounts for them for ages.
Was getting to the oping where I was going to make some from sheet metal but then put a cheeky bid in on some on eBay, got them for £2 including p&p. Cost me more to do them myself!
But it's going to have to fit them later as going to be moving soon. But if get 5/10 min may pop them on to see haw look.

Dash it

Ok so been off for a week, but not a good start to it with the wether. Also been running around doing other stuff…
So I have got round to start cutting one side of the dash, I'm trying to make a dash to go around the the speedo 2 clock housing, as I like it. So making more work for myself.
Usually if your putting a new dash in you would take the clocks out and fix them to the back of the new dashboard and fix it as one pease. As I'm keeping the clock housing I've got to make and cut 2 parts to go on both sides. Got one side on the way as you can see from the photo, just need some fine tuning to fit.

She's a runner

Well it's been a good day I think, got the new battery in the Mini and got her going. Didn't take as long as I was expecting to get her going. She started up on the 2nd turn of the key. Also I had a go at colotuning her so think I got it right. She sound and seems to be running well and a good Volta output, but will ask the lads at the garage to have a quick look when I get her MOT. As it stands that not going to happen to soon as there are some things that will need doing 1st! But it's one less thing to do.
